Main spellings for Group 1

In class, we are learning to spell words ending in ‘ssion’. The children will have one week to learn their spellings and will be tested in school on Friday 26th April. 

We will also be helping the children to learn these words in school daily.

This list is from the National Curriculum and the expectation is that all children will be able to read, understand and spell these words, using them correctly in their written work. Additionally, each cycle will include words that contain specific phonemes, prefixes and suffixes.  Lists will be sent home in pupil's' Spelling books, with a view to learning them well before they are tested on the Friday.  Spellings can also be practised on Spelling Shed, using the student's login.
