Our topic this term is 'Rocks, Relics and Rumbles'.
So far we have learnt:

- about tectonic plates and how their movement creates volcanoes, earthquakes or tsunamis
- about the Ring of Fire and why it is a significant area for volcanoes
- about the features of volcanoes and how they are formed
- to use latitude and longitude to locate volcanoes on a world map
- how to use the search engine 'Swiggle' to research well known volcanoes across the world
- about the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in Pompeii and the effects it had on the area and people
- about how earthquakes and tsunamis are formed
