• Table tennis success

  Hours of practice at table tennis after school clubs brought big rewards for the school at the Budmouth Primary School Table Tennis Festival this week.   A mix of Year 6 boys and girls represented the school and fully entered into the Festival Ethos of fun and fair play.   

   

  The afternoon started with skills circuit activities, including serving, footwork, forehands, backhands and accuracy .  Following this, The players were split into four groups in which every school played each other in a game.  Chickerell won all four groups!   The players skill and attitude impressing the watching Budmouth Sports Staff eyeing future table tennis success!   Thanks to Mr Millar for taking the children

  Our head boy and girl attended the St.Mary’s Remembrance service on Sunday 12th November. They were accompanied by Mrs Green (and her children), Miss Simmonds and Mr Robinson. They proudly laid the wreath on our behalf and joined the local community in paying their respects during the two minute silence. 
  Thank you both very much. 
  Miss Simmonds’ class also made a poppy for the service, which we laid too. 

  

• Amazing football success

  Our combined YR 5 and 6 football team today won the Area competition, to qualify for county/regional finals later on this term. The boys played superbly, and are very much looking forward to the next stage. Thanks to Mr Broom and Mr Manning for taking them.
