All Saints Table Tennis Festival

 

A mix of year 4 and year 6 boys and girls represented the school at a recent All Saints Table Tennis festival. In all, 90 children from 9 schools attended a busy afternoon of skill challenges and matches, with Chickerell coming out as the top school!

 

The afternoon started with skills circuit activities, including serving, footwork, forehands, backhands and accuracy. Following this, pupils were split into random groups in which every school played each other in games. After the first round of games, players were then separated into four ability groups with 8 Chickerell players joining the top ability group for further matches.

 

The hours of practice at afterschool clubs paid off with Lottie Griffiths winning the competition and Lucas Iacob and Poppy Honnor finishing third and fourth respectively.

 

Everyone enjoyed a very well run event and all of the pupils represented the school superbly.
