Well Being Week
Chickerell Primary Academy has been focusing on well-being this past week.
Weymouth goalkeeper Tom McHale came into talk to children in Year 5 and Year 6 about important subjects linked to this sensitive area.
The children took part enthusiastically in a Q and A session which encompassed a number of different topics.
Dawn Hulland, a Year 6 teacher, commented, 'He had a superb rapport and manner with the children, he is a great role model'.
Wendy Simmonds, a teacher in Year 5, added, 'Children loved having a real football player in the classroom. This was a brilliant addition to Well-being Week and Tom showed how many important aspects there are to football, such as teamwork and having a positive attitude - it is more than just a game. We look forward to continuing this positive relationship with Weymouth F.C'
