Memory Bottles

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING MEMORY BOTTLES FOR THE HOME LEARNERS

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

* bottle filled with salt

* 4 / 5 pieces of scrap paper, folded in half and then opened out again

* 4 different colour chalks

* tag

* elastic band

*pen

What it is...

The bottles are filled with salt. You are to pour out the salt into 4 or 5 piles, which will each represent a different memory from Y6.

Write a different memory on each piece of paper (your top 4 or 5)

Pour out salt onto paper into desired amounts for the size of each memory

Colour the salt with your chalks

Pour the salt, using the crease in your paper to help, into the bottle. You can choose the order in which you would like to pour it in.

Write your memories onto the tag so that you will always remember them, e.g.
G = buddying
R = sporting achievements
etc etc

Now attach your elastic band to the tag (through the small hole) and loop around the neck of the bottle to secure it.
