4. Wildlife Watch:
Some people recognise birds by their songs rather than by their appearance. Bill Oddie will hear 90% of birds before he sees them. Here is a short (3min30) video by the BBC on how to identify birds from their songs: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/clips/zrynvcw. This blog will also help you to begin identifying bird song: https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/blog/2019/04/identify-bird-song/ and you can also listen to the songs so that you can compare. Why not spend a little quiet time today and sit in your garden, or sit in a green space and enjoy listening. What different bird songs can you hear?
Look at this webpage where you will find a collection of spotting sheets to download. Choose one to take with you when you go wildlife spotting. https://www.wildlifewatch.org.uk/spotting-sheets
