Inclusion

Pupil Premium was introduced in April 2011 and is allocated to schools to work with pupils who have been registered for free school meals at any point in the last six years (known as 'Ever 6 FSM'), Service Children and Looked After Children. School leaders use research to inform their decisions about the spending of Pupil Premium funding.  The Pupil Premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities and to close the gaps between them and their peers.

Research developed by the Sutton Trust has supported the decisions for Pupil Premium spend.  For more detailed information relating to this, please follow the link http://educationendowmentfoundation.org.uk/uploads/toolkit/EEF_Teaching_and_learning_toolkit_Feb_2014.pdf

Pupil Premium is an important source of extra funding for the school and so, if you feel that your child may be entitled to free school meals, please contact the school office so that we can advise you in a confidential manner about how to apply.
